.) You may have as many characters as you can handle. There will be a monthly Activity Check. One for users, and one for characters. Make sure to pass both, alright? If the character becomes inactive, for example, because you no longer enjoy playing them, put them up for adoption. If the user becomes inactive as well, and fails to show up for the Activity Checks, all of the characters will be put up for adoption. Of course, this only happens if the user becomes inactive without telling us. IE, if school starts to become an issue, make sure to post, telling us what is going on. I'm sure you wouldn't want to loose your characters over a misunderstanding, right? Also, if you decide to have more than one character, make sure to keep track of them. Once your first character is accepted, and is moved to your accepted character board, make a character log, and have a link somewhere in your sig. Whether it is the list itself, or just the sig link.
.) This is not a Warriors roleplay. Though I do love the series, here on Trust, Starclan and the other clans don't exist. In fact, the cats of "The City" have no religion really. They are not pagans, monotheists, etc. They don't even really worship their ancestors. Also, there are no gangs, tribes or anything. Most cats live alone. Some live with their families, but usually by the time the kits are fully-grown, they leave their parents to live by themselves. Families will not be bigger than five members. Sure, if two cats decide to travel together, they can, of course. But, this won't happen too often, and it won't last long. The cats of The City tend to not trust each other.
.) If someone has already claimed a name, that name is permanently gone, unless the cat dies. I don't want two Shadow's running around. Especially since there aren't any clans, gangs, etc. This only makes it more difficult. No worries, I have a name list. So warrior names, like Blackfur won't fly here. Same with human names too. Names like John and Bob won't work, since humans haven't been around for over 80 years. However, if you can give me a good reason, IE, it is a tradition to name the eldest son this.. Blah blah blah, then fine. But if there is no explanation whatsoever, don't be surprised if you're asked to change it.
.) Another thing is, unique eye and pelt colours must be purchased in the store. Jewelry, collars, etc. is forbidden. I mean, where exactly would a cat get a collar, if Deraloux has been abandoned by humans for over 80 years? And no, your cat won't be from out of town, because who would want to come out to some old Ghost Town anyways?
.) Like mentioned in the first set of rules, make sure to be literate. Always. No one likes to have to decode words in order to understand the entire sentence. It's boring and annoying. The minimum post count is 200 words. For people like me, and hopefully you, that won't be much trouble at all. If I see anything under 100 words, I will throw you into my dark abyss. (Yes, I have one.) I will not take Writer's Block as an excuse either. If you are having Writer's Block, than don't post. I want nice and big descriptive paragraphs. Here at Trust, we don't teach literacy. If you can't even post, or can just barely post 100 words, then this isn't the site for you. And lastly, make sure to post in third person. It really annoys me when it is in the first person. How are people supposed to respond to that? I mean, if the character is in a conversation, and they are in their head most of the time, how is the other person supposed to respond?
.) No playing both mates. It's just weird. Each mate should be played by someone else. If your character needs a mate, post in the "Wanted ads." I do not believe in "love at first sight". So, both characters must be in at least one thread, at a bare minimum before they fall in love. And in that one thread, it should be fairly long. Because again, you won't fall in love in two pages. It is so cliche. >.> Now for the gross part. Graphic breeding is gross. Yes, you can post it- but if you plan on having graphic parts, make sure to label the thread with an [M] for Mature.
.) For kits, you can play as many as there are. Any kits that are left over will be put in the pound. You can have up to fours kits per litter, and only two or three litters. Usually, mothers only have one litter in their lifetime. Some of them don't even make it through the birth, because they have no one with experience to help. If you want to have kits, make sure to plan it out. One week in regular time is the minimum time before the birth. It gives you time to think of names, genders, fur and eye colour, etc. Also, the staff don't need to know, unless their character(s) are involved.
.) Here at Trust, we do not allow liquid time. I personally think it makes things more confusing of where and who your character is interacting with. You can make as many characters as you want, and the cats of Deraloux tend to travel around quite often.
