This is a reference page for all of y'all newbies. Hope you read this if you have yet to fully understand everything. Not that Trust is confusing or anything, but whatever.
So first off, Deraloux is the same as The City. Deraloux is the actual town's name, when it was founded by humans during the California Gold Rush in 1848. Like many of the now-Ghost Towns, Deraloux was thriving with life for a little over three years. The nearby river, The Iris River, was full of gold. Many of the settlers here became rich very quickly. And when the news of another town striking it rich, Deraloux's population increased by 55%, giving Deraloux a count of over 500 people. However, with more people, means that more gold would be gone. By 1850, the Iris's gold began to disappear. And within months, the humans began to leave.
By the following year, almost every person who once lived in this thriving town, was gone. With only the Inn Keeper and a few others left, Deraloux went into the next stage of becoming a Ghost Town. Soon enough, by the end of the year, Deraloux had been completely deserted by humans, leaving only the few animals that lived there. Some dogs- but mostly cats. There was plenty of mice to eat, and enough water for them to drink for generations. And so that's the way it was for over 80 years. The felines, came to know Deraloux as merely "The City". Just like today, mostly the cats would just survive by themselves, or with their families. All was peaceful.
And this peace went undisturbed for several generations. Until the drought came. At first, it seemed like nothing more than a hot day. However, as days went by, one by one, cats began to realize that the past few days were not just higher temperature wise. Some cats noticed that the river seemed smaller than usual. And soon enough, other cats began to notice that the grasses in the old cornfield had dried up, and that food was becoming scrawnier and scrawnier. And soon, the cats of Deraloux realized what was going on. A drought had hit the land. Who knows how long it will last? A few months, or maybe even years?
Other important stuff to know:
- We go by hours, days, weeks and months here. No moon phases.
- Deraloux is currently in a terrible drought, so cats are bound to always be hungry and thirsty.
- There are no humans around. No cat of Deraloux has come in contact with a human in over 80 years. So obviously, these cats are wild.
- These cats are bound by no laws, so they can pretty much do whatever the hell they like.
- There are no clans, gangs, etc. in Deraloux.
- There is no religion in Deraloux.. Yet.
